Photo Spheres: National Cherry Blossom Festival
In 1912, Mayor Yukio Ozaki of Tokyo gave 3,000 cherry trees to Washington, DC to celebrate the enduring friendship between Japan and the US. Nowadays, the National Cherry Blossom Festival lasts four weeks and attracts more than 1.5 million visitors. In recent years, going down to the Tidal Basin to make Photo Spheres of the cherry blossoms in all their glory means that spring is here!
